Comfort Inns are Getting Some Suite In-Room Charging Stations

Things at Comfort Inns are starting to get a little more comfortable.

The affordable hotel brand is in the midst of a massive brand makeover changing everything from the reception desks to the employee uniforms but most importantly, Comfort Inn is overhauling the guest amenities.

Last year, Comfort rolled out their new breakfast (called Your Morning Breakfast) with hot items and flavored waffles. By the end of next year, Comfort Inn's Truly Yours bedding program will have upgraded more than 234,000 beds and nearly one million pillows. Guests will even have a choice of a soft or firm pillow.

But what we're interested in checking out is the new Your Suite Success initiative which will feature a recharge station in every room (about 47,000 in all) that has "convenient access" to outlets and USB ports. Hallelujah. No more unplugging floor lamps next to desks to charge our phone. Also, no more trips to a random electronics store because we forgot our wall charger. We can just use our USB cord instead.

Right now, there's only one Comfort Inn that has the entirely new Comfort Inn design and that's the Comfort Inn & Suites hotel of Spokane Valley, Wash which is re-opening on July 14. And we're tempted to book a room. Put "Stay at a new Comfort Inn" on our bucket list for 2013!
