Another Miami Hotel Joins the Autograph Collection, And It's A Biggie

Wowee, the Autograph Collection is the hotel portfolio that just won't quit. The latest Miami additions to the fold--Blue Moon and the Winter Haven Hotel--have barely settled into the family and now today comes word that the Turnberry Isle Resort will also get the Autograph Collection treatment.

Not even a year ago, this sprawling resort in Aventura (just north of Miami Beach) was a Fairmont property--that is, until management kicked the brand to the curb.

Now, Turnberry Isle has the honor of becoming the third South Florida hotel to join the Autograph Collection--and the 32nd property to be added to the brand's roster.

This is, of course, great news for anyone with a Marriott Rewards surplus, as you can use those points to book any of the personality-driven hotels within Autograph.

Turnberry Isle is popular for weddings and other big events, and is great for families, with extensive grounds, golf courses for the dads, and 408 rooms and suites. It's also home to a popular star-chef restaurant in Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak.

Autograph Collection vice president Kip Vreeland, calls Turnberry Isle Miami "a perfect fit" for the brand. Hot on the heels of today's announcement, the hotel is already on the Autograph Collection website, with reservations going through the Marriott system. Rooms for the weekend of June 8 start at $309 a night plus tax.
