At the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong guests can learn about wine pairings while at Ritz-Carlton Berlin, kids can participate in a digital scavenger hunt using QR codes and clues at each stop. And stateside in New York at the The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, the recipe for hotel’s signature 10-year anniversary cocktail can be obtained by scanning the QR code on a cocktail napkin.
The app also gives Ritz guests access to Ritz-Carlton's Presidential Tips from Herve Humler, president of Ritz-Carlton. But Humler's insidery info can only be accessed by, you guessed it, scanning a QR code at the time of check-in.
If you're not keen to race around the hotel scanning QR codes, the app has an activity calendar for each hotel so you can see what's happening that night or the next day during your stay. You can also look up other Ritz-Carlton locations and of course, make reservations for your next stay.
We've downloaded the app to our phones but we're unfortunately nowhere near a Ritz-Carlton today and thus can't really get the full effect. If you are, let us know what you think of the app in comments below!
