Le Meridien Coming to Atlanta in Place of Old W Perimeter Hotel
A few weeks ago, it was announced that Starwood Hotels had sold off the Atlanta Perimeter Hotel and Suites which you may remember best by its former name, the W Atlanta Perimeter. (Hat tip to Tomorrow's News Today for directing us to the change-up)
The W moved out of the hotel last year which was no big loss as W has three other hotels in Atlanta. Yet even though Starwood is no longer the hotel's owner, (that distinction belongs to RockBridge Partners), it will still be the hotel's operator.
And thankfully for all of us but especially for you Starwood Preferred Guest members, the hotel will undergo 18 months of upgrades and renovations and will turn into a Le Meridien Hotel. Tomorrow's News Today reports:
The 275-room hotel will see the removal of its balconies and installation of floor to ceiling windows and the addition of a club lounge and club floors.
This will be only the 9th Le Meridien Hotel in the U.S. so it's rather special. We can't wait to see what it looks like. Fingers crossed they will put in free WiFi!
