How rad/retro is this? (It also comes in hot pink.) We could totally see a hipster hotel (cough, Ace, cough) picking these up and either offering them in the rooms or for loan by the pool or on a bike ride. At the very least, Hotel BPM should seriously consider having these on offer somewhere in their turntable-inspired hotel when it opens.
iHome Alarm Clocks Have Come a Long Way Since 2007
iHome alarm clocks in hotels, which allow you to plug in your iPhone during your stay, are nothing new. Indeed, they were our Must-Have Amenity back in 2007.
But when we popped into the Shore Hotel in Santa Monica a few months ago, we noticed how "high-tech" the iHomes have gotten. While this isn't the newest iHome dock out there, it does allow you to charge both your iPhone and iPad. You can also plug in a different gadget via the USB port at the top of the iHome.
The machine also has a special "Bedtime Beats" buttons which plays new-agey music that's supposed to help you get to sleep. And for those of you who don't carry around our iHome alarm clock instructions, there are directions in the top right corner of the iHome telling you how to do just that.
But now let's talk about what we personally would like to see in a hotel room--this iP4 Boombox.
