Salazar Contemporary Exhibits, named after art dealer Alexander Salazar, who owns a separate gallery in the city, calls itself "the smallest gallery with the biggest heart." And true, the space seems small. But when you're suffering through one of those slow-moving noon check-out queues, sometimes a little art on the walls can brighten up the whole experience.
As we learned recently with the Renaissance New Orleans Arts' sculpture garden and lobby art.
The gallery's first exhibit is a series of colorful ocean-inspired paintings by local Erik Skoldberg.
Other spaces guests can enjoy in the Palomar (which used to be The Se) include an in-house spa, outdoor pool and a rooftop bar.
