The Clevelander Moves Into the New Marlins Ballpark

Big-name restaurants moving into new ballparks is nothing new. But in Miami, it's big-name hotels that are muscling in on the sports stadium action.

First, it was the Fontainebleau's LIV getting a spot inside Sun Life Stadium. This weekend, the Clevelander Hotel opened a new bar inside Marlins Park, the new home of the Miami Marlins.

Of course, you can't sleep at this Clevelander, but then no one does at the South Beach one either. The Clevelander at Marlins Park has capacity for 240 patrons and has field level seats, select table service and, like its namesake, a pool.

But really, who cares if Marlins Park is miles from the beach and a complete b**ch to get to—all that South Beach drunken mayhem can now be experienced right here at the stadium!

Fans paid a cover to get into The Clevelander after the Marlins-Yankees game on Sunday, where Marlins closer Heath Bell helped out behind the bar. A few fly balls made their way into the bar area, although it didn't bring the fish any luck--the Yankees won, 10–8.

Single game tickets to check out The Clevelander start at $50, although same games cost more, including those against the Red Sox, which will set you back $100.

Food is ballpark-pricey ($12 for a 1/2 pound hotdog), but the view, though no South Beach, is pretty spectacular. For a peek at what you can see from the Clevelander's Marlins Park pool, click here.
