Pups Now Have Their Own Menu at W Los Angeles-Westwood's Backyard
Let's face it, dining al fresco is one of L.A.'s collective pastimes. Lots of restaurants even let you bring your Beverly Hills chihuahua with you. But the W Hotel Los Angeles Westwood is going one step further and now has a pet-friendly 'Fido's Kitchen' menu at The Backyard Restaurant.
Available exclusively at the restaurant, the food is suitably L.A. fresh and healthy, too. If you saw 'Organic Chicken, Free Range Eggs and Brown Rice' on a menu, you might order it for yourself, no? Well, here the dish is called Stella's Mutt"za" Balls and we're assuming it's priced a little lower than the human meals (or at least, we hope).
Other menu highlights include Milo's Chopped Veggie & Chicken Salad and the Knuckle's Frozen "POP!"--organic yogurt, mashed banana and peanut butter.
Dishes are named after pets of the hotel staff (awww!) and as you can imagine, dog-loving executive chef Dakota Weiss got a kick out of coming up with the items:
'As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of our four legged pals and enjoy finding new places in Los Angeles that are going above and beyond to incorporate them into our everyday dining experiences. This was the perfect platform for me to join in on the fun of creating a fun, delicious menu that I think any dog would love.'
The W Los Angeles-Westwood also offers the standard P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) amenities to guests traveling with their pooches: a welcome amenity, custom W pet bed, bowls and a special treat at turndown. A slew of other pet goodies are available through the W Whatever/Whenever service.
