First we learned about Revel's opening date, now we see that Boston's newest boutique hotel, Revere is also opening soon...April 18 to be exact. Not so coincidentally, this is the same date that Paul Revere made his famous ride in 1775 to spread the news of the British invasion.

Reservations aren't open yet for the 356-room hotel (formerly a Radisson) but the hotel does promise "livable glamour" in the guestrooms with three distinct areas for sleep, work and lounge. Here's a bit of the sexified room descriptions from the hotel:

A neutral color palate will allow patterns and bold splashes of color to steal the show. A sleek hardwood entryway will anchor the space and present three distinct areas of the room for “sleep,” “work” and “lounge.” A sensuously heeled oversized desk will allow guests to burn the midnight oil while a coy suede headboard and plush bedding flirt with a masculine houndstooth chaise, inviting guests to lounge and relax at their leisure.

Each Revere room will also have its own oversized balcony with views of the city and the South End neighborhood. In the bathrooms, toiletries are from local brand, Skoah, whose only "spatique" is just a few blocks away from the hotel.

But there will be plenty for guests to see outside of their hotel room as well thanks to the Revere's Theatre 1 and Space 57 venues. Created out of the old Stuart St. Playhouse, Theater 1 will be outfitted with new seating, ambient lighting and top-notch projection and audio technology. Each of the 225 seats will actually have its own workspace and power sources, thus making it great for corporate retreats.

Space 57 will be a 6,700-sq.ft. giant multi-dimensional event space, named in honor of the original tenet, the Sack Cinema 57. Where there was once an indoor golf school and driving range, there's now a "raw shell with infinite possibilities." We're guessing this could be a funky wedding reception spot.

Lastly, the hotel plans to open the Emerald Lounge, a 6,000-sq.ft. spot featuring creative craft cocktails and "utensil-free" cuisine. Sounds intriguing enough.

Like we said, reservations aren't open yet and the website doesn't have any real photos either, but we'll let you know when they do.
