You can see what the sleek new lounge looks like (sans patrons) in the shot above. What do you think?
FDR looks rich and glossy and velvety but we'll have to reserve judgement on the space's soul until we've experienced it IRL.
The lounge is open on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm–5am and you can keep up with its lineup of DJs via the FDR at Delano Facebook page. There are of course craft cocktails available, many with cute names referencing the lounge's namesake, such as the Eleanor (Plymouth Gin, muddled strawberries and lemon juice) and the New Deal (Bulleit Bourbon, peach puree and ginger beer.)
Also now open at Delano is the new Umi Sushi & Sake Bar, which you'll find right there in the hotel's lobby. The Japanese restaurant is serving (what else?) sushi and sake and yet more fancy cocktails from Sunday–Thursday, 7pm to 12am, and Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 1am.
