How Can You Make The Most Of SPG's New Culinary Benefits?

Starwood just launched a brand new culinary program for SPG members that provides discounts at over 500 restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as other perks like online cooking classes taught by Starwood chefs. Just in time for the launch, Starwood built a brand new SPG Restaurants & Bars website, on which guests can type in the name of the city they're traveling to and find out what discounts they're eligible for.

But, as with any major points program, not all hotels are created equal. So we did a little digging to find out just which cities are offering the biggest bang for your buck.

All in all, it seems like SPG members will get a better deal at hotels in Europe and Asia.

While there certainly are hotels in major US cities that are included, the ratio of participating restaurants is lower, and the discounts rarely go above 10%.

The exceptions to that are Turner Fisheries Restaurant and Bar at Westin Copley Place in Boston (where SPG members get 20% off) and IPO at W Chicago (where SPG members get 30% off).

Elsewhere, we liked what we saw in...

· London—20% off Spice Market at W London; 20% off Palm Court and Citrus Restaurant at Sheraton Park Lane; and 20% off One O One Restaurant at Sheraton Park Tower.

· Paris—20% off Le First at Westin Paris; and 20 % off L'Orenoc and Jazz Club Etoile at Le Meridien Etoile.

· Bangkok—15% off all four restaurants (Sambal, Giorgio's, etc...on the river, Thara Thong) at Royal Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok; 15% off Latest Recipe at Le Meridien Bangkok.

· Dubai—20% off Vivaldi Restaurant, Chelsea Arms and Creekside Restaurant at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel.

What's more, members can actually win additional Starpoints through these dining experiences. So even though our little shortlist here may have inspired a whole flood of wanderlust, you might be able to hit all of these places sooner than you think. Bon appetit!
