We didn't actually need the amenities of a Transit Lounge during this short stay, but we half wished we did, just to say we used it. We would have loved storing our luggage with the bellman and being free to hang out, use the lockers, read, shower after a spin in the lazy river and even dry our bathing suit in the dedicated machine for just such a task.
Of course, with its Vegas-like size and guest volume, it makes sense that Atlantis has a solution for this pesky issue of what to do with guests who arrive early or depart late. But that doesn't mean other hotels of decent size can't take out of the same playbook, too. Miami Beach is calling out for Transit Lounges, and who wouldn't welcome the chance to wash the NYC dirt and subway germs off before collecting their bags and jetting out of JFK?
Hotels of the world: please do this.
