Last week we told you about the hotel doing wine pairings with Girl Scout Cookies (brilliant, Auberge Du Soleil!). This week we're bringing it back to the sugar with two more examples of hotels taking Girl Scout Cookie season beyond the boxes you can't keep your mitts out of.
The first is at Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort Golf Club And Spa, where two new Girl Scout-inspired desserts have hit the menu: the Thin Mint Chocolate Mousse (pictured above), made from the best-selling mint flavored, dark chocolate-covered cookie, and a Girl Scout Cookie Cheesecake. Ohhh yes.
The mousse features not one but three cookie flavors: Shout Out cookie crust, Samoa cookie cheesecake filling and a with Dulce de Leche cookie crumble topping. Best of all, a portion of proceeds go to local Girl Scout groups, so you can gorge guilt-free!
We feel this would be a good place to mention that certain other hotels are doing wonderful things these days with fitness programs. #Justsayin.
Over in Clearwater Beach, at the Sandpearl Resort, the focus again turns to booze, with their Thin Mintini. Never mind, it still qualifies as a dessert--it's made with Kahlua, Absolut Vanilla, Bailey’s Irish Cream Mint and Green Crème de Mint and served in a glass rimmed with Thin Mints. The perfect way to top off your Thin Mint pedi at the spa! (Yes, really.)
What else is there to say but Happy Friday and god bless those little Girl Scouts?
