Park Hyatt Keeps on Growing But Which One is Still Your Favorite?

Where: Busan, Korea

Fresh off the news that Park Hyatt would be heading to Bankgok comes yet another expansion announcement, this time for South Korea.

Opening in 2013, the Park Hyatt Busan will be part of a new mixed used development comprising three residential towers, one office tower and the ubiquitous retail space located at Haeundae Beach in Busan.

The hotel itself will have 268 guestrooms, including 69 suites, two restaurants, a lobby lounge, fitness center, seven-treatment room spa, and an indoor pool. The hotel is being designed by New York starchitect, Daniel Libeskind and the Tokyo-based design firm with the super cool name of Super Potato will do the interiors.

But it looks like we should expect more new hotel announcements from Park Hyatt in the future as 18 Park Hyatts are under development in the following cities: Alem-Tejo, Portugal; Bangkok, Thailand; Changbaishan, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Sanya Sunny Bay, China; Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Mumbai, India; Doha, Qatar; Marrakech, Morocco; New York, United States; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; St. Georges, Bermuda; and Vienna, Austria.

If all those hotels come to fruition, they will almost double the size of their current collection of hotels which numbers 28. Which means in the next few years, we'll have a lot of Park Hyatts to visit. But while we wait, we thought we'd ask...What is your current favorite Park Hyatt hotel? Tell us in comments below!

It was an unexpectedly great hotel in a city not known for them (stayed there in 2006, but several global chain hotels have since opened that most likely are nice but not up to the level of the Park Hyatt).

Park Hyatt Melbourne!

Beautiful hotel, great location, amazing service. One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at.

Istanbul

Park Hyatt Istanbul is a super fabulous and petite hotel (90 rooms at most) in the posh neighborhood of Nisantasi. Definitely a Park Hyatt that masters understated luxury and one of my favorite hotels ever.

It's good to know that Hyatt is now in South Korea. It helps to have a home from far away. It's easier to stay in a foreign country when you have a lovely place to be in. This is the same as getting a payday loan. It's very convenient.
