While we've been lusting all over the Peninsula Hotels of Asia recently, a reader on the ground in Europe was scoping out Peninsula's newest hotel--Peninsula Paris.

We had nearly forgotten (ok, completely forgotten) about the luxury hotel coming to the City of Light which we first heard about back in 2010. But fortunately our dedicated reader sent us some construction snapshots of the hotel which have us quite excited today. What can we say, we love a good "naked" photo.

Here's what our spy said:

Location is steps away from Place Etoile / Arc de Triomphe. Shangri-La is 15 minutes walk in one direction, Raffles Le Royal Monceau 10 minutes in the opposite direction. The size of the building is really what struck me, this will be monumental when it is finished. Should be quite stunning really. They're certainly not keeping it quiet when it comes to announcing what the building will be!

The hotel is being converted out of an historic building so it's not a new build, of course. But it will be a little longer before we can spend the night. While initially planned for 2012, the Peninsula Paris will now open in 2013. It doesn't need to be said but still, we can't wait.
