Work Your St. Patrick's Day Angle at The Angler's in Miami
If you're in Miami this weekend and are still looking for St. Patrick's Day plans, we suggest skipping the messy hordes along Collins Avenue and surrounding Lincoln Road. Instead, head further south on Washington Avenue until you find The Anglers Boutique Resort.
This luxurious retreat in a surprising location has a cool little bar inside and plenty of outdoor patio seating to soak up the spring (break) air. On Saturday, they'll be serving traditional Irish Cuisine and cocktails by guest mixologist Fabio Toole.
We're not sure getting drunk with Irish friends usually warrants a mixologist (more like a working Guinness tap) but the cocktails--all $8 each--have appropriately green names like the Irish Cactus, The Emerald and the Nutty Irish Man.
Guinness and Boddington beers will be just $4 each and shots of Jameson, $3. Don't forget to line your stomach first with a bowl of onion soup or a big plate of Shepard's Pie or Lamb Stew.
The fun kicks off at 5 p.m., at the Angler's restaurant, 660 at The Angler's.
