Piazzetta Opens at Acqualina This Weekend
Posh beach boutique hotel Acqualina Resort & Spa already has that classic Miami amenity: an Italian restaurant, Il Mulino. Now it gets the perfect casual accompaniment: a new restaurant serving pizza and gelato.
This is music to our ears. Il Mulino is your typical old-world Italian restaurant--heavy on the pasta and suited waiters. A beachside hotel like this needs more laidback alternatives and that's what it sounds like it will get when Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant opens this Sunday, March 18.
The new concept will be open all day, serving light meals, brick open pizzas, crostinis, paninis, salads, coffee, tea and gelato. The marketplace section will also sell olive oils, sauces, cheeses and caviar goodies and the Wine Corner is of course where you can grab a bottle of Chianti.
Piazzetta will have indoor and outdoor seating, and a communal table for 10. The new restaurant and marketplace opens this Sunday, and will then be open every day between 11am and 11pm.
