Beyond the rooms, the hotel really sells itself with its Tramonto Roofdeck and Bar. Having just come from the W Hotel's roofdeck, we can say that not only is this one larger (with a better pool), but that it's less touristed in general, owing to the newness of the property. Still, the W does win for the view and its angle towards the mountains, which makes for a more dramatic backdrop.
Downstairs, there's two restaurantsPiegari (Italian cuisine) and Noi, which is the setting for the included breakfast.
Something you won't read about in the small descriptions of the NOI on hotel websites is its energy efficiency. It's all in that design of the hotelthe shell of slats that covers the main building both shelters it from the direct rays of the sun while keeping the heat in on cooler evenings.
Rooms at the NOI begin at $300. The roofdeck is closed to the public until 6pm, so head on up around dusk to get a feel for the place before committing to several nights' stay.
