When the place does finally open, here's a little of what you can expect: blond woods, taupe floors and clean surfaces in all the suites; and, perhaps most importantly, the views are terrific.
A rep for hotel recently checked out one of the larger suites on the twelfth floor, saying, "It really reminds me of a beautiful apartment. Looking down on North End Ave and the esplanade, it almost feels like Paris."
A New York hotel that references France and Ireland in the same view? Not bad.
For rooms that span about 430 square feet (we told you they were suites), opening rates of $259 seem pretty appealing to us. And with all the cool artwork in the lobby, there should be plenty bringing people out to this otherwise-desolate stretch of the Financial District over the next few months.
