Lights...Camera...5 Hotels Around the World That Are Celebrating the Oscars!

It's that time! In addition to this month's crazy deluge of Leap Year packages, we have another big event on our radar: the Oscars. We whetted your appetite with a look at our favorite movie set hotels last week. Now, here are some classy joints to watch the awards ceremony. And the nominees are...

It's all about the popcorn at Loews Hotels, which will be offering a special Red Carpet Room Service package for this year's Academy Awards at three properties around the US: Loews Regency (starting rate $229), Loews Philadelphia (starting rate $199) and Loews Vanderbilt (above, starting rate $209). The package comes with a free in-room movie, $25 food voucher, and, of course, hot buttered popcorn delivered straight to your door. Yes.

If a pregnant woman can sleep in a bed at Le Meurice and still manage to call it her favorite hotel bed ever, they must be doing something right. But don't just take it from us—two major motion pictures chose film scenes in Le Meurice this year, including Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris and Madonna's W. E.. Soak up the Philippe Starck design and three Michelin-starred restaurant with a stay here this month. Rates start at EUR 610.

Say what you want about David Fincher's adaptation of Stieg Larsson's worldwide bestseller—the guy at least knew how to choose a decent hotel to film in. Dolder Grand, whose Masina Suite (above) can be spotted in the film, is offering a two-night Girl with the Dragon Tattoo package, including breakfast in the Garden, a three-course dinner, a cocktail, tickets and transportation to the cinema, and a copy of the book. Rates start at CHF 1,340 for a single and CHF 9,910 for the Masina Suite.

Interesting fact: this suite has its own private sauna, an amenity we explored earlier this morning for Bathroom Tuesdays.

Want to throw an Oscars-watching party your friends will be talking about for many awards seasons to come? Go all out with the The Plaza's $19,999 one-night stay at the Royal Terrace Suite, including: a Caudalie Grand Facial treatment; an appointment at Warren-Tricomi Salon to get your hair blown out, eyebrows shaped and makeup applied; an in-room photo shoot (what's the fun of looking good if you can't show it off?), and a Best Picture Oscar nominees-inspired dinner menu.

The good news? The suite is so big, you can take an after-dinner stroll and never miss a second of the telecast.

As it turns, out, you don't have to be blowing thousands on an extravagant Oscars-watching party. If the above pamper package doesn't rub you the right way, try this one further downtown at Gild Hall. Inside a penthouse suite, complete with candlelit dining room table and a 42" flat-screen TV, you can kick back with friends, munch popcorn, and swig champagne while cheering on your favorite films. Rates start at $599 for the package.
