We better start saving our pennies now because come 2014 there will be two brand-new luxury hotels that we will be dying to try out.
Earlier this week, Mandarin Oriental announced plans for the Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum in Turkey, located on the waterfront of "Cennet Koyu", or Paradise Bay, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The destination resort will have 82 guestrooms and 20 suites, all with sun-decks and terraces and some with private gardens and infinity-edged pools.
There will be six restaurants and lounges on a site, a signature Mandarin Oriental cake shop, a spa and a Beach Club offering a ton of water activities, including an array of pools. The resort will also have 214 residences attached.
Meanwhile, Park Hyatt Hotels just announced their plans for Park Hyatt Bangkok. Also opening in 2014, the hotel will be located in the city's central business district in a modern, mixed-used building featuring twisted coil architecture which is sure to stand out in the city's skyline.
The hotel will have 222 rooms, including 49 suites as well as all-day dining and specialty restaurants, a lobby lounge and specialty lounge and a sky bar and restaurant with views of downtown Bangkok. There will also be a spa, business center, fitness center, swimming pool and loads of meeting space.
Normally, we'd say we hope 2014 comes fast. But we're gonna need the two years or so to save up.
