· The Beverly Hills Hotel: The Pink Palace is celebrating the Oscars with themed cocktails in its iconic Polo Lounge restaurant. They include “The Artist” Silence is Golden with Karlson’s Gold Vodka, Lemon Juice, Mint Syrup and Club Soda; “Hugo” French Clockwork with Stoli Apple Vodka, French Pear Brandy, Fresh Sour, Cinnamon Applesauce; “Moneyball” Billy B’s California Gimlet with Hangar One Vodka, Lime Juice Cordial served over an ice ball. The drinks are $18 each and are available until February 26th. And you just might have a surreal moment of drinking the "Moneyball" drink while Brad Pitt noshes next to you.
· Montage Beverly Hills: The hotel in the heart of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills has put together several "Red Carpet Ready" treatments at its Spa Montage and the Kim Vō salon. The Lifetime Achievement Award consists of a 60-minute Montage massage and facial as well as a mani/pedi and an updo or blowout for $375. Or you could keep it simple with The Nominee package which includes a 60-minute Montage massage and facial and a blowout for $225. Whichever package you book, all include full access to Spa Montage's facilities and access to the hotel's rooftop pool. To book a Red Carpet Ready spa treatment, call 310-860-7840.
· JW Marriott at LA Live: To celebrate the Grammy Awards which take place just steps away from the JW Marriott at the Staples Center, the hotel's Mixing Room Cocktail Lounge has introduced five specialty cocktails each inspired by an “Album of the Year” nominee. You can sip on "21" by Adele with Pimm's Cup, ginger beer, and fresh cucumber and mint or the "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga with Absolut Vanilla Vodka, fresh lime juice, jasmine syrup and a touch of egg white.
But the one we might opt for is "Loud" by Rihanna which features coconut water, Gosling's dar rum, house-made ginger-lime syrup and served on the rocks in a pink Pop Rocks rimmed glass. Other cocktails for Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters round out the options. Each drink is $14 and are being served through Sunday, February 12.
