You see, Soho House Chicago is situated on Green Street near the corner of Randolph Street, home to the most ridiculous restaurant scene in the city. The hotel will back right up to Stephanie Izard’s Girl & The Goat and look just across the street from RM Champagne Salon and Nellcôte. Au Cheval, Little Goat, De Cero and Graham Elliot’s g.e.b. are also just beyond. And soon enough, they will all be within arm’s reach of Soho House -- quite possibly the only hotel in the neighborhood.
Non-traditional, for sure, but oh-so brilliant indeed. Or perhaps, it’s AJ Capital, LLC who purchased the property that deserves the props. They also scouted out Hotel Lincoln and will soon be opening Chicago Athletic Association, both of which feature amazing locations.
Here’s a few more new details about Soho House Chicago. Though not confirmed, we have it on good word that the six-story, former warehouse will be transformed into 33-35 hotel rooms plus the exclusive members-only club. There’s talk of a rooftop pool and a glass-enclosed rooftop lounge, as well as three restaurants: Pizza East, Fatty Joe's Burger Bar and Chicken Shack. We also heard there will be a 12,000-square-foot gym, a screening room to seat 40, and that beloved Cowshed Spa.
The opening is still far off and scheduled for spring of 2014. Check back for more updates and let us know if you know more!
