Celeb Performance of 2012: Lindsay Lohan Acts Up And Down

It's that time of year again: the 2012 HotelChatter Awards! Today and Monday, we'll be showcasing the best (and worst) of hotels over the past year. But we couldn't do it without you! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or shoot us an email. And the Award goes to...

Some would say “performance” is a euphemism for “acting out”. We’ll go with either of these defintions, because it doesn’t matter really—girl Lindsay Lohan has been doing all that and then some.

The acts of cray-cray have been numerous this year, from racking up a ridonkulous $46K bill at LA’s Chateau Marmont, the hit and run pandemonium of the Porsche variety outside NYC’s Dream Downtown, and then there was that abuse incident with not-so-BFF congressional aide Christian LaBella at the W Union Square, which involved a physical altercation between the pair and a pulling of a fire alarm. Mercy! And these were just acts that involved hotels! There's a laundry list of more mayhem we're too tired to get into.

So naturally, this award had to go to Ms. Lohan, as her antics are Oscar-worthy and she needs some kind of recognition, because dollars to donuts she shan’t receive any for her characterization of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie, "Liz & Dick". And we're afraid that slight is going to give us material for 2013 anyway. Sigh.

But, LiLo, though you’ve given us a boatload of stories this year, for the love of Pete, all we ask is that you at least promise to figure out how to navigate the New York City streets without getting behind the wheel. We have taxis and even car services, ladybug. And learn to pay your bills when luxuriating in hotels. Or at least get yourself a cat daddy (or sugar momma?) and have them pay the tab if that route is your option at this point in your young life.

Good gravy. Get it together, girl.
