MGallery Cues Another Hotel: This Time in Melbourne
All we can say is that the peeps over at M Gallery have been working overtime Down Under. From a spooky new spot in Sydney and now another property in Melbourne steeped in history.
We present Hotel Lindrum. This place is not new, not by a long shot. It has, however, just been given a face-lift thanks to its new owners, part of the Accor's boutique brand.
Housed in a former billiard house and named after the champion Aussie player, William Lindrum, the hotel keeps its heritage with a back bar and pool room outfitted with an original table from the Lindrum days. The entire property has been restored to its former glory when the movers and shakers of Melbourne visited the building to relax and unwind with a game of snooker.
Each of the 59 oversized rooms feature iPads for loan, free WiFi and picturesque views of the city's botanical gardens. Acting as a throwback to the glory-days of the building, rooms sport hardwood floors and lots of wood accents throughout.
In typical M Gallery fashion, the hotel tempts guests with unique hotel packages that have an flavor specific to the property and its hometown. The Memorable Moment package for this hotel won't disappoint billiard fans, giving guests a private billiard lesson with Robby Foldvari, a Triple World Champion billiard player, on the hotel's original billiard table from the Lindrum Billiard Center.
Room rates start at 215 AUD ($226) per night.
