Technically, we've been waiting the longest for Hyatt. Two years ago, we were told it would open sometime in 2011. Nope. Then it got pushed back to " late fall 2012." Now, the website says it's accepting reservations for March 1, 2013 and beyond. Which would certainly be nice, considering that from the looks of it, the hotel (pictured above) seems to be all, like, built and everything.
Further down the block, we visited the Jade at the end of October, and got a peek at a model room. It looked pretty good to us, but there was still evidence of some major installation work that needed finishing (as in, all of the rooms, plus the lobby). The place was still basically a construction site.
So while we were hopeful for a November opening, we kind of get now why the Jade's reps are telling us it might, possibly open this month, but could "potentially" be pushed to 2013.
Guess it's up to one of these hotels to break the curse. But which one will do it first?
