Kerry Sport at Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai
This Shanghai Hotel’s sports complex is the largest hotel gym in China. It has 32-foot-high windows overlooking the city’s Century Park across the street, an enormous main floor with over 80 pieces of weight machines and cardio equipment (the spin bikes and treadmills com equipped with iPod docks and personal TV’s), an “Iron Man” zone with training necessities for triathletes. The gym also comes equipped with Vasa kayak and swim-training workout machines. Kerry Sports also has 10 TRX suspension fitness trainers, a one-on-one personal training zone and four exercise studios for classes such as yoga (including hot yoga), spinning, pilates and more. Adjacent to the club, guests can use the 25-meter indoor lap pool, or venture outdoors to take advantage of the hotel’s small jogging track, basketball court and tennis court, as well as a mini climbing wall. Gymgoers can also unwind in the full-service locker rooms, which includejacuzzis, scented steam rooms and saunas.
Banyan Tree Fitness Center at the Marina Bay Sands
To be honest, as much as going to a hotel gym is about staying fit while on the road, it’s that much more enjoyable with a great view of the destination, and the gym at the Marina Bay Sands megahotel in Singapore has views galore thanks to its perch on the 55th floor. This fitness center has top-of-the-line Kinesis Technogym equipment for strength trainers, cardio equipment with touchscreen entertainment televisions and iPod docks, a separate aerobics and yoga studio with a complete schedule of classes, another room for free weights and rowing and access to the Banyan Tree spa’s locker rooms with warm soaking pools, sauna and steam rooms and even a relaxation lounge where you can rehydrate with a choice of beverages.

Forza at Ritz-Carlton, Denver
With over 52,500 square feet, the Ritz-Carlton, Denver's FORZA fitness center is not only a top hotel gym, but it’s one of the city’s most popular as well. It’s got a huge circuit weight-training floor and free-weight area, all-new cardio equipment and four exercise studios with a complete roster of classes including yoga, kickboxing, spinning, Pilates, aerobics and more. The facility also has a 25-meter saltwater lap pool and whirlpool Jacuzzi, a full basketball court with stretching areas on the side and a rock-climbing wall. The staff includes several trainers and instructors that guests are entitled and encouraged to use. The fitness center also has deluxe men’s and women’s locker rooms with private lockers and steam and sauna facilities. Guests can take the health kick with them by visiting the gym’s Emerge Café and ordering a light lunch to go, or just a protein shake.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Hawaii
Although many guests to this Hawaiian resort get their exercise at the water sports center with activities such as outrigger canoeing and paddleboarding, for those who want to keep their heart rate up on dry land, the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai has a truly breathtaking fitness facility that includes separate cardio and strength studios with French doors that open to the balmy island air, a dedicated lap pool that’s adjacent to the resort’s spa, a rock-climbing wall, tennis courts, a basketball court and a fitness studio for classes like yoga and spinning. Guests can also reserve one-on-one training sessions and sign-up for activities like fitness walks, Dance Fit, family swim, and PiYo (pilates-yoga combo). Best of all, after their workout, guests can head inside to the spa to clean up and quench their thirst with free water and sports drinks.

Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris Though it’s small – French people supposedly don’t exercise, after all – but the subterranean gym at this chi-chi Paris palace hotel is top-notch, and it gets a nod here because of of how it carries over the hotel’s luxurious ambiance rather than pushing fitness in an over-the-top kind of way. It’s part of the white-on-white-on-white Spa My Blend by Clarins and includes a 28-meter indoor swimming pool with a mirrored wall and a relaxation deck dotted with signature Philippe Starck lounge furniture. The fitness room itself is long and narrow, though there are plenty of cardio and weight machines and several attendants dressed all in white to help with everything from mopping your sweaty brow with an extra towel, getting you some chilled water and even providing personal training pointers and customized workout sessions (their official title is “My Body Coach”). Then after your workout, it’s time to cool down in the deluxe locker rooms with their hammams, laconia (Finnish-style saunas) and private shower suites.
Maybe if your home gym resembled these, you'd get a few more workouts in when you weren't traveling, too.
