We've been keeping an eye on the Hudson in Manhattan ever since it was announced that renovations were completed on all 836 rooms. We even went over to take a peek for ourselves!
But it seems the new-ness doesn't stop there. We heard rumors about a new venue that would be opening up in the hotel "later this month", and we, of course, immediately set about doing a little detective work.
Here's what we found out: remember Private Park, the hotel's snazzy overgrown terrace, located behind the lobby? Well, now they've covered it with a tent so it can stay open year-round, and changed the name to Hudson Lodge. In addition to cocktails, wine, and beer, Hudson Lodge will also serve chili, fondue, and hot drinks—just like a winter lodge!
But the changes don't end there. Hudson Bar is currently under construction, as is Hudson Hall, the hotel's lobby restaurant, which will be changed to Hudson Commons when it reopens in January.
So, as of now, the only venues that are actually open are Hudson Lodge and Library Bar, where guests are being temporarily re-routed for breakfast.
