Also opening this winter will be the 273-room St Regis Abu Dhabi, which will be located beside the Federal National Council, the Supreme Court and the Ministries area, according to the hotel's website. St Regis is obviously the go-to brand for hotel butler lovers, and as our friends at Conde Nast Traveler showed last month, no one does around-the-clock service quite like the UAE.
And speaking of Dubai, there's some major news going on there as well. Specifically, at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, which is officially open as of today. The tallest hotel in the world will continue rolling out more phases of its opening (don't forget, the hotel is comprised of two towers, and right now, only one of those towers is open to guests) through February, when the grand opening will take place.
So if the UAE has been on your list for a while, now is looking like a pretty good time to go check out the scene. And if you need a few more hotel recs, don't forget to check our handy hotel guide for Dubai virgins. Sigh. We remember when it was our first time...
