Continuing on the Four Seasons theme, the new Four Seasons Toronto opens to the public today at 3pm. The live ribbon cutting, shown on Facebook today, marks the hotel’s flagship position.

The Four Seasons company was born in downtown Toronto in 1961 as a motor hotel, and its first Toronto hotel opened in 1978. Now it’s relocated from that old building to fresh new digs.

located in Toronto’s popular Yorkville center, The 259-room property, will come even more alive this evening with the Café Boulud opening. We hope that in addition to the various media promos Chef Daniel Boulud’s done for the hotel, he will actually be in the FS kitchen for opening night.

The new spa is the biggest in the city and in fact, the entire company coming in at 30,000 square feet and spanning the entire 9th floor. There are 17 treatment rooms with several couples’ suites, plus a prix fixe therapy menu. Also available are the indoor pool and hot tub, a nail and hair bar, and a spa boutique.

Stay tuned as we make our way to Toronto to go inside the hotel after all the hullabaloo is over.

In the meantime, if you’d like to book for the next few weeks, the Four Season is offering a “Welcome Back Package” for 545 CAD ($555) which includes room, a daily CAD 75 credit ($T77), and valet parking. Offer is for stays between October 25 and December 2, 2012. Given that regular room rates are the same price, it seems a no-brainer to pick the package.
