Rooms will be small (surprise, surprise!), but definitely elegant. The dark leather armchairs and the Art Deco-inspired headboards all work very nicely together, and though the feel can be a bit heavy at times (maybe the result of too much burgundy?), there are playful touches too, like the Tivoli radios and rotary dial phones on the desks.

The facade of the building, which remains un-photographed due to the rain, will be impressive in its own way: brick masonry, gas lanterns, antique glass lunette windows, and a marquee forged by a local sculptor should all help the hotel build a reputation in the neighborhood as a classy place to stay. In the back of the lobby, a skylit Mediterranean restaurant, Grapevine, will also contribute to the Jade's 'scene.'

As far as specific rooms, you'll definitely be wanting a room on either the 17th or 18th floors. Since the hotel is built just outside the historic district, they were able to build up to 18 floors, and as a result, have unobstructed views of lower Manhattan. So while the Jade Hotel isn't exactly in the 'heart' of Greenwich Village, it certainly manages to get an interesting perspective on it!
