DVF Adds Hayman Island Resort To Her Hotel Design Résumé
Fashion queen of the world Diane Von Furstenberg has done it again. Though the Belgian-American designer is mainly known for her gorgeous dresses, textiles, furniture and jewelry, DVF is also an admitted hotel lover and in 2010, The Claridge's Hotel in London debuted a series of 20 DVF-designed suites.
The look was elegant, modern and heavy on the floral prints. We loved it.
Now, she's worked her magic over at Australia's acclaimed private island retreat, the Hayman Island Resort, where, this Saturday, DVF will show up to unveil her two-bedroom penthouse.
Though we're hoping, this time, the underage models will get left out of the picture.
Per the Hayman's website, the penthouse will include all DVF-designed furniture and fabrics, a free-standing stone tub, and an American Oak four-poster bed. In addition to the beautiful prints and rugs, another detail that caught our eye was the "vast balcony" with "sweeping uninterrupted views over the tropical garden landscape and the sparkling Coral Sea waters."
This may just be the second DVF-designed place we add to our "Suites To Die In" list. Or, better yet, Suites To Write Reviews In (fingers crossed!).
