3 Reasons To Snag A Room For Hotel Week

We don't know about you, but the post-holiday void has left us in need of a little diversion, so we're just going to play along with all this Hotel Week business—however much it feels like a bootleg version of New York's more established Restaurant Week. Here to bolster a select batch of NYC hotels through the dreaded January slow season, the nine-day promotion starts today.

And to help you get excited, here are a few tips on ways to get the best bang for your buck.

#1. By saving money on the room, you can relax (read: spend) a little more at the hotel restaurant. For example, Lexington Brass, the glazed brick-lined brasserie on the ground floor of Hyatt 48Lex, has made a point of luring guests with delicious comfort food items like buttermilk fried chicken, deviled eggs with caviar, and, of course, our favorite, the jelly-filled doughnut pancakes.

#2. Of all the things to love about the bathrooms at Andaz Wall Street, Bigelow toiletries might make us the happiest—and will ensure some quality pampering time during your stay. While you experiment with their lotions and soaps, also make use of the hotel's signature spinning closets and peekaboo bathtub windows. The views will be sweeter when you're only paying $200 a night!

#3. You can live like the Kardashians inside Gansevoort Park, where Kim and Kourtney filmed the newest season of their hit show on E!naked yoga and all. Though we don't recommend following in any of their antic-ridden footsteps, we do recommend battling the winter blues with the hotel's very own Compliment Concierge, available all winter long (for an extra fee) to ply you with summery cocktails, say nice things about you, and make sure you get enough vitamin D.
