The Darndest Things Happen to Hotels When Celebrities are Staying There

It's been a wild and wacky first week of 2012 for celebrities staying at hotels. While we've chronicled some of the outlandish escapades, there's still a ton more we think you would enjoy reading about. Happy Friday!

· The Shelborne South Beach Lets Lebron James Eat Cake, Whatever Cake He Likes: Apparently, a Boca Raton baker's $3,000 cake that she whipped up for Miami Heat player, Lebron James, for his New Year's Eve party at the Shelborne Hotel was just not good enough. Even though the hotel, which just unveiled pretty new rooms, promised the baker publicity in exchange for free cake, once Lebron got a look at the thing, he demanded a different one. Sigh. Is there a hastag for Rich People Party Problems?

· Sofia Vergara Brings Lusty Nurse Fantasties to Life at The Bellagio: The Modern Family stunner was leaving the new Hyde Club at The Bellagio in Las Vegas at 3am when a young woman collapsed near her. Sofia ran to the woman, checked her pulse and remained by her side until real paramedics came. We wouldn't be surprised if people started passing out near Sofia more often.

· Former N'Syncer Could Always Be on Umbrella Patrol if Music Career Doesn't Work Out: Speaking of rescuing people, former boy bander, J.C. Chasez was beaching it up at the Fontainebleau in Miami when a helicopter's gust swooped an umbrella, and its very sharp end, towards a one-year-old baby girl. Chasez immediately jumped up and stopped the umbrella with his own body. We knew he was our favorite one of N'Sync for a good reason.

· The Bachelor Sure Loves to Sleep Around: In hotels, that is. We've been getting a bunch of tips on email and Twitter about the filming locations, and the luxury hotels, for the never-ending ABC reality show, The Bachelor. Honestly, we're just not into him. But if you must know, the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn's Willow Spa will be featured on the show on Monday, January 9.

· The Fool on the Round Hill...is Paul McCartney: If you're one of the richest men in the world and a member of one the most legendary bands in history, where do you go for vacation? Well, Paul McCartney likes to go to the Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica. But he wasn't the only fame-o there. So was his daughter, Stella McCartney, Ewan McGregor the original Fergie (Sarah Ferguson) and Ralph Lauren and their families. Note to self: make lots of money so as to stay here one day.
