Ever since the Four Seasons Miami freshened up its rooms last fall, we've been trying to get in and take a peek. That's been problematic because the hotel has been consistently sold out.

Last week, we finally got a look at a couple of suites (yep, the regular rooms were all booked), located on the 28th and 29th floors of the tower.

Even though they're suites--and pretty sweet ones at that, with oodles of space and panoramic views--you can get a good idea of what the regular rooms look like from scoping out the pictures in our gallery. The color schemes are similar, and the soft furnishings and new-look window seats are the same in the entry-level rooms--also pretty spacious at a generous 500 square feet.

As part of the overall Four Seasons website makeover (which we love), the Four Seasons Miami website will soon have brand new photography showcasing the rooms, and the detailed descriptions covering the in-room amenities are already in place. (Yay, L'Occitane bath products!)

Whether you opt for a City-View or Bay-View room, the Four Seasons is a seriously lovely hotel with a light, crisp residential feel.

Rates for this weekend start at $489 a night. That's comparable to some of South Beach's hottest hotels--even cheaper in some cases--and you get so much more when it comes to service, elegance, and peace and quiet. Without, we must point out, losing anything at all when it comes to a pool scene.

We'll have more on what's new at the Four Seasons Miami--Edge, Steak & Bar--soon.
