Intentionally ambiguous PR jargon aside, the new rooms will have a cleaner, more modern edge than guests have been used to in the past. Take a look at the above rendering—the lamps alone are a huge improvement! And we should note that these renovations build on the hotel's pre-existing improvements like flat-screen TVs, wifi and new beds.
Built in 1924, the grand oldie has been chugging along for quite some time now (87 years to be exact), and continues to woo guests with trendy Twitter contests and mambo lessons on the roof. We even managed to snag a three-night stay here for only $19.24 via said Twitter contests.
In addition to the rooms, the lobby-level Madison Club Lounge restaurant will also receive some new carpeting, lighting, and a shiny granite top bar. Nice. But if the sun's shining, and it's still September, you can find us on the roof.
