The W Hotel London's array of customized designer bikes, heretofore available for guest rental, are currently being auctioned off in order to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, as previously reported.

If you've been ogling the exquisitely constructed two-wheelers from afar, now is your chance to put in a bid for the chance to take one of them home. Somehow, we have a feeling they'll get less roadside mileage than ostentatious-living-room-display mileage in the winners' homes.

To recap, some of the showy cycles up for auction include Ron Arad's elaborate metal-wheeled creation, fashion designer Alice Temperley's animal print, Notting Hill ride-ready bike, and Paloma Faith's glamorous rock 'n' roll design, among others. Taking home one of the artfully conceived bikes will set you back a pretty penny—or, pence, rather: bidding starts at a cool £5,000.

But, we can all but guarantee that the steep asking price will be duly repaid in admiration and envy from fixie enthusiasts the world over.

Visit the W Hotel's WOW Bikes auction on Facebook now through October 31st to place your bid(s). Only 1284:22:18 seconds left until auction close (of this writing, at least).
