45 Park Lane has finally, formally opened its swanky, $567 per night doors in West London, with many a bell and whistle accompanying its Mayfair debut. With a mere 45 rooms (clever coincidence, eh?), the hotel is relatively modest in size but decidedly immodest by way of luxuries: bespoke furniture, Bang & Olfusen televisions, views of Hyde Park, marble baths, a Media Room available for private hire, and a custom, to-order Bath Menu are just a few perks up for offer. And a partridge in a pear tree.

Back to that Bath Menu for a moment, however. For £20, you can order a bath to be drawn by hotel staff, complimented by a choice of essential oils and scented candles to suit your relaxation needs. Mind-clearing is achieved with the help of wild camomile, petitgrain, and frankincense, while geranium, patchouli, and sandalwood oils offer an energy-boosting pick-me-up. Superfluous, you say? Well, then, you're probably not the target demographic for the latest addition to the Dorchester's gilded hotel collection.

The lauded arrival of Wolfgang Puck's Cut, whose original outpost is in Beverly Hills, has been generating a fair amount of buzz on the local restaurant circuit as well. Cut lends 45 Park Lane a healthy dose of culinary cred, Puck's name alone enough to send local food bloggers into a hype inducing tizzy. Londoners know their Sunday roast, sure, but Puck's brand of elevated, American-style fare is a much needed addition to the city's expectedly Brit-focused foodie scene. What we wouldn't give for a healthy portion of Wagyu Beef right about now.

Visit the hotel's website to make a booking. But, if the exorbitant rate deters you from staying overnight, we'd suggest at least wandering into the hotel bar—Bar 45—to see if you spot the odd West London luminary quaffing a fancy cocktail in its environs. Chances are high, we'd venture.
