Ah, fall. Back to school, back to work. And, for hotels, back to the drawing board! The Four Seasons Miami is just one of the hotels in the 305 going for a fresh look, and we have to say: it's looking pretty elegant.

The new room design was conceptualized as an update to the hotel's Art Deco style, and helmed by the original designer of the hotel's interiors, Frank Nicholson. Apparently, he was inspired by the Four Seasons Miami's $3-million art collection when coming up with the new look.

The new rooms, debuting this fall, come in two different color schemes--red and slate and gray and blue. The furnishings and fabrics are new, including headboards featuring mother-of-pearl lacquer and custom-made carpets inspired by the sidewalk of Brazil's Copacabana Beach.

Other parts of the hotel will get a makeover, too—a brand new restaurant is set to open in late 2011 (we're guessing in time for Art Basel) and the pool terrace will score some new day beds and upgraded amenities such as Evian spritzes and butler-passed frozen treats.

For now, the new restaurant has no name but we hear that the concept is 'stylish steakhouse' and that design team AvroKo is working on an indoor-outdoor space in a palette of whites. The new bar will be a posh place for creative cocktails and signature small plates.
