Thompson is offering 20% off the best available rate at both Smyth Tribeca and Gild Hall. Just type in the code "SUTS" to receive the discount, plus free Continental breakfast (Smyth) or $25 food & beverage credit (Gild Hall), depending on which hotel you book. After a quick look at various booking sites, rates for Gild Hall were hovering just below $300.
Surprisingly, our most favorite controversial Manhattan hotel from this year, the Flatiron Hotel Toshi, is showing decent rates of $279 on hotels.com, which beats out most of the budget brands we mentioned above. Except for the Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea, which is also running below the $290 mark.
Alternatively, over on E 50th St, the Affinia 50 is celebrating the season with the "Fall into the 50" promotion, which offers free breakfast for two, late checkout, and an upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, all for $299 a night. Five blocks down, the Roosevelt New York, poised for a complete renovation, has Superior King rooms available for the relatively reasonable rate of $289.
Finally, for those of you looking to book later in the season (November thru December) the James New York—now in its second year—is offering a package called "You Never Forget Your First"—ha. Like the Thompson promo, guests receive 20% off the best available rate, plus two free cocktails at David Burke Kitchen. Hopefully, by now, they've gotten rid of the celery.
