Life really is better at the top. And you're a lot cleaner up there too!

Check out this stash of toiletries we found in the bathrooms of the Senators Suite in the Augustus Tower at Caesars Palace. Alongside the usual Gilchrist & Soames shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and bars of soap came a few extra toiletries like a dental kit, a shaving kit, a sewing kit, a comb, lip balm and deodorant. That is truly the mark of an awesome toiletry selection--when it includes deodorant (cause Lord knows we need it! Har har.)

The regular rooms at Caesars don't skimp on the toiletries either as our little sibling, VegasChatter found out last year. And we especially like how the shampoo and conditioner bottles are a little larger than most toiletry bottles.

But given that the Senator Suites start around $2,600 a night, we'd be a little pissed if they just tossed us some regular old toiletry stash. Now, who do we have to speak to about getting some styling hair gel and eye cream thrown in here?

Waste, waste, waste...

That's all this is.  Organizations like Clean the World exist because of irresponsibility like this.  Seriously, how many nights do you need to stay in a hotel to actually use all of this stuff?  And we all know you're only there for a night or two.  All the guest is going to do is stuff these into their suitcase and then they will sit in a bathroom drawer for the next three years until they start packing to move one day and then realize they never actually used any of it so they'll just throw it away.  Also, don't tell me "well, it's all built into the price of the room so I can take everything", because that couldn't be further from the truth.  The price of the room is dictated by what the market can bear, not by what "free" amenities are in the room.  There is absolutely no correlation between the two.

This makes me sick...shame on you Caesar's Palace.

True

Offering a lot of toiletries like this can be wasteful but I actually used the Caesars Palace dental kit and shave kit on a recent trip to Chicago. It was easier to do than throw in my Soniccare and Venus razor.

Also, someone else here gave a great tip for all those leftover toiletries--homeless shelters! I made a big drop to Salvation Army a few months ago.

Caesars partners with Clean the World

Caesars Entertainment -- including Caesars Palace -- proudly partners with Clean the World to recycle guest room amenities. As participants in the Clean the World Hospitality Partnership Program, all Caesars guest room soaps and bottled amenities are collected and shipped to Clean the World recycling operations centers for sanitization, recycling and distribution to children and families in the United States, Canada and more than 45 countries. So, even an abundance of amenities riches in one guest room will help someone else in need of better hygiene products. Soap saves lives. Thanks for helping Clean the World.

Clean the World..what is the the carbon footprint?

I believe thet Clean the world is doing some great things put i feel that the Carbon footprint they are creating taking those little bottles of soap that have already been shipped once. Well lets count the steps...
1.bottles created labled and filled
  1. Shipped to the properties
  2. sorted by the properties
4.shipped to a plant for processing
  1. processed to make clean for distribution
  2. shipped to needy countries
  3. trucked to specific locations
still what happens to the plastic bottles?
If the hotels would adopt a dispenser program, they could send 10% of thier savings to the needy countries and impact thier lives with clean water programs infrastucture, and soap would become icing on the cake.
