So far, we couldn't say what Coral has brought to the Gansevoort in terms of a unique mindset or feel. So it's interesting that they now have three South Beach feathers in their cap. Could this be the start of a brand new Miami Beach hotel empire?
We're definitely intrigued by the work that will start in the next couple of months at The Savoy. It has a spectacular location in the South of Fifth neighborhood, and we're a total sucker for these pretty, white Art Deco buildings. The hotel currently has one- and two-bedroom suites, ocean views, two outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, restaurant and lounge and the obligatory meeting space.
The Savoy is sold out this weekend, but otherwise rates start at just $119 a night. It's near impossible to beat that on the beach, so if you're at all curious about this under-the-radar property, we say check in now before the jackhammering--and rate gouging post-reno--begins.
