Hotel Arts Barcelona Gets Smart...Cars, That Is

Just two months after a popular European urban sustainability exhibit swung through the eastern Spanish city, Hotel Arts Barcelona is now hawking electric smart cars of its very own.

Starting this fall, Club Level guests will have exclusive access to 100% electric smart cars, which will be branded with the hotel's logo (though, better that than Frank Gehry's nearby fish sculpture).

This is the first time any Spanish hotel has introduced a fleet of electric smart cars, and, we have to admit, they look pretty fun. The cars are also teeny, which makes them better-suited for Barcelona's tiny little side streets and alleys. We just hope their stock meets the demand.

"Combining these efforts, Hotel Arts’ new “Go Green” package offers Club Level guests with access to a Hotel Arts-branded Smart Car, as well as their choice of lunch or dinner at Arola off of the new sustainable menu. The package starts at a rate of 486€ + 8% VAT for two people, and is available to Club Level guests from Wednesday through Sunday."
