Most people probably think of the Delano's white-on-white guestrooms when they think of its signature South Beach look. But really, it's all the hidden details in the public spaces that tell the story.
There's the Alice in Wonderland feel of the blue door in the front hedge, and the whimsical lawn furniture on the sprawling backyard and in the pool--but then there's the stories about Starck as a boy, hanging out under his aunt's dining table, the tablecloth spilling down around him as he drew and daydreamed.
Apparently, when developing the Delano, Schrager told Starck to 'do your thing.' As you can see from our gallery, he did.
