Well, that's a relief! It seems we're not the only ones who get excited about hotel toys. After waiting eagerly for some like-minded souvenir hoarder's response—photos, url links, tips, anything!—our patient geekery was rewarded yesterday when we received this photo from reader Pam.

Hotel toys can come in all forms. From Japanese miniature plastic food sets to sex toys to vending machine goodies, there truly is something for everyone out there.

To get your hands on this chubby little guy, all you have to do is book a room at the newly-renovated Affinia Manhattan. Pam writes:

"King Kong at the Affinia Manhattan. Don't know if they still have these since they did their reno. This was last summer (yes, we bought him to take home, too cute!)"

In fact, yes, the cute little gorillas can still be found in the renovated rooms (if you look closely at this photo gallery, you'll spot three!). According to Affinia's Director of Sales Andrea LoPiccolo McConnon, the toys proved too popular among guests. So when it came time to design and decorate the new rooms, King Kong made the cut.

Hey, that's my gorilla!

I'm so happy to hear that I will find another little friend waiting for me when we return to the Affinia Manhattan next month.  My King Kong (the one you just made famous by posting his photo) has to stay home and take care of the dog and cat.  Who knows, since the hotel is pet friendly maybe one day they can all come with.  ~Pam
