This Might Be The Most Exciting Thing to Happen to Santa Barbara Hotels Ever

We thought the Royal Couple craziness would die down once the newlyweds became an old married twosome, but nope, we wrong. Now, hotels in California are looking to cash in on Prince William and Kate's impending trip to the Golden State. In particular, Santa Barbara hotels are downright giddy over the couple's planned visit for a charity polo match and meal. So much so they are celebrating the best way they know how--with a package.

The Santa Barbara Hotel Group is honoring Kate and Wills with their Royal Romance Escape package. (Groan.) You and your king (Double Groan) will get accommodations as well as an upgrade, a bottle of champagne, high tea for two at Andersen's of Santa Barbara and a list of the top 25 places to kiss in SB. (Actually, that one's kinda cute.)

Participating hotels include the Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn, Best Western Plus Encina Lodge & Suites, Brisas del Mar, Inn at the Beach, Lavender Inn by the Sea and Inn by the Harbor. Rates start at around $214 a night.

The Canary Hotel is also getting into the frenzy with the Royal Summer Retreat package, where you can stay in the presidential suite, sip bubbly and nosh on chocolate-covered strawberries. A three-course dinner will be served in your suite fit for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and breakfast also will be delivered to you. Of course, the price tag is fit for royalty: It'll cost you $2,200 a night.
