While we were there last month, they mixed us up some of their signature drinks using grappa, and we were particularly piqued by the Italian Mojito with Marolo honey- and lemon verbena-infused grappa, fresh mint, sugar and lime juice and soda ($12); the When in Rom with Bertanognoli Moscato Grappa, limoncello, fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh raspberries served with a salted rim ($12); and the Grappa Manhattan with Jacopo Poli Barrique Grappa (trust us, try this one on its own, it’s like a fine scotch), Amaro and blood orange bitters served up and with a twist ($20).
If you still can’t get your mind around grappa, don’t worry, there are plenty of more pedestrian cocktails, and a wide-ranging beer and wine list on hand to accompany snacks like the roasted Marcona almonds with sea salt and herbs ($4), parmesan herb fries ($6), chicken wings with harissa bbq sauce ($11), and Vietnamese-style pulled pork sliders on brioche with pickled veggies ($13). Which would taste good with grappa...or anything else, really.
