The Berkeley is drawing people to its gym, and not for its treadmills. The Knightsbridge hotel transformed its gym and spa's terrace into a lush British countryside, complete with birch trees and lavender, in the middle of the city.

And instead of burning calories on the elliptical, you can order from a picnic menu, which includes blanket-friendly fare like iced tea and strawberries and cream, while you pop a squat on the secret rooftop garden.

To get more use of the rooftop garden, the Berkeley is offering a Green & Spring Cottage. The spa treatment room can be reserved for services that use the skincare brand's own products, which are made with herbs and flowers native to the British countryside. Signature treatments range from a 30-minute skin-clarifying minifacial to the Green & Spring Indulgence, a 90-minute service that uses lavender, oats and lemon balm. The treatments wrap up with some downtime on a deck chair in the relaxing rooftop garden.

The Berkeley is offering a Green & Spring package that includes breakfast for two and a 60-min Green & Spring facial per person that starts at £529. The deal is available for August and September. Otherwise, Green & Spring treatments start at £50. Access to pool, health club and garden is included for signature treatments Cloud 9 and Green & Spring Indulgence; half-day access is £45.
