What's Inside The Google Chromebook at The Ace New York?

Over at Freshness mag, they've posted some cool new photos of the Ace Hotel New York Field Guide which includes the Google Chromebook we were geeking out over last week.

Remember, hotel guests who check into the Ace from now through September 30 get to use the Chromebook during their stay and out on their adventures through the city. And it comes in a nifty customized felt slipcover. Of course, if you don't return it, the Ace will charge you $499.

Initially, we though the program was just for hotel guests but the Ace actually says that hotel visitors can check one out too. Just simply ask if there's one available at the front desk.

The Field Guide was done in partnership with hipstery online travel guide, Superfuture and is chock-full of the Ace's picks for things to do around town from midtown to downtown, from the east side to the west side.

What's cool is that you don't need to check into the hotel and checkout a Chromebook to peruse the Ace Field Guide. All you have to do is download the app (which is essentially what it is) to your Chrome browser (Go here) and then you can see everything the Ace+Superfuture recommends.

We were able to browse the guide's drink recommendations for each neighborhood and were impressed to see the guide gives shoutouts to lots of other hotels. But of course in the Midtown South guide, places to eat include the John Dory Bar and the Breslin, both of which are found at...yup, you know it...the Ace.
