Bulgari London to Open Spring 2012

Just in time for the 2012 Summer Olympics (man, we find ourselves writing that a lot these days), Bulgari Hotels will open their third location in London.

We already knew that Bulgari was planning a London hotel but we had initially heard early 2012. Now it looks like it will open Spring 2012. There's also a website up although it doesn't have much going on--just the opening announcement, a rendering of the exterior (which looks like a Bulgari storefront) and that the hotel will be located in the uber-posh Knightsbridge nabe. (In fact, it will be on the site of the old Knightsbridge Palace Hotel.)

But we did find a little more info about what's inside. From a press release issued in February:

The hotel, with its 85 rooms and suites - including seven extraordinary Bulgari suites, each more than 200 square meters large - will offer a unique combination of refined amenities and exclusive services. Its restaurant and bar have been designed to become the destination of choice in Knightsbridge. The hotel will also feature a large ballroom, a private cinema and a 2,000 square meter Spa and fitness centre with 25 meter indoor pool

There will also be six residences available including one penthouse with prices only Russian billionaires can afford.

As for room rates inside the hotel, well, this is London and Bulgari is no Sephora. Expect rooms to go for at least, at least 700 pounds a night.
